WAPOL Pipe Band will visit Spearwood Primary School and perform for all students at 10.00 am.
The Western Australia Police Pipe Band was formed in 1966 and proudly wears the Napier tartan. The band represents the Western Australia Police at numerous community and policing engagements.
The band is comprised of full time employees and volunteer guest members, who all play an active role in commitment and dedication to the fulfilment of the band’s responsibilities, and its ongoing aspirations.
As the 2016 Grade 1 Australian Pipe Band Champions, the band managed to successfully defend its 2012 & 2014 National titles, held in Sydney, New South Wales. We continue to seek Perth-based volunteer guest players, who are of a suitable standard to contribute to varying levels of participation, based on the band’s operational requirements. Any interested musicians are welcome to the contact the band office for more information.
The band is also assisted by its Supporters’ Association, which among other elements, encourages a healthy Friends of the Band program, which is run in order to help the band reach its goals on an ongoing basis. As a Friend, you will be able to participate in many activities with the band, and enjoy exclusive benefits and opportunities in return for the support that you provide.
