On Friday 24th November, the final amount of money raised during National Water Week was announced. Spearwood Primary School raised $1450.05 from the Lap-a-thon held on 18th October, and $91.50 from Wear Blue Day on 16th October.
In all, the school raised $1569.55. Part proceeds is being donated to water.org and the remainder for school resources.
Prizes were awarded to the top three fundraisers, Lily Rm 16, Liam Rm 14 and Liam Rm 8. All students who collected money from their sponsors were given a free ice-cream, supplied by the P & C and they were also included in a raffle for more prizes. The raffle winners were: Marcus Rm 16, Olivia Rm 14 and Prinz Rm 14. Thank you to all the teachers, students and school community for their part in making National Water Week 2017 a huge success.
