Outdoor Classroom Day

Outdoor Classroom Day

On Thursday 7th of November it was Outdoor Classroom Day.

All the children in Pre Primary/Year One -Room 6 spent a beautiful sunny morning outdoors rotating through a variety of maths play based learning activities.

The children used the weighing scales to differentiate between light and heavy objects. They used the 30 second and 1-minute timer to see how many balls they could land in the buckets. The children created some amazing creepy crawlies using the 2-D pattern blocks. They measured lines on our basketball courts using the trundle wheels and had fun using the water trolley and various measuring equipment to fill the buckets.

A big thank you to some of the Year 5 and 6’s who assisted as leaders at some of the stations and a huge thank you to Mrs Bond and Ms Tina for setting up all the equipment. A fabulous morning of outdoor learning was had by all.
