On Thursday 19th November, the Year 2-6 students travelled to Matilda Bay to take part in the Junior Dolphin Watch excursion. The students conducted a scavenger hunt of the river and surrounding area to determine what types of activities were conducted in the area and what litter had been left behind. They then tested the pH, temperature and saltiness of tap water and river water and compared the two. Later they labelled a diagram of a river dolphin and tried to identify some of the local dolphins by their dorsal fins.
