National Reconciliation Week Morning Tea for Grandparents

National Reconciliation Week Morning Tea for Grandparents

On Friday 19 May the school held a Morning Tea to celebrate National Reconciliation Week.  Grandparents were invited because the NAIDOC theme this year is ‘For the Elders’.  Dianne Hunter, a member of the Cultural Committee, cut the celebration cake.

Diontaye read our Spearwood Acknowledgment of Country in Noongar and English before the Morning Tea.  Our Cultural Committee Aboriginal Elder, Doris Hill, was there to proudly hear him.
